This episode was inspired by a few women reaching out to ask us to consider talking about aging, in women.  Since, we are all getting a bit older, every day, we thought it'd be a great time to talk about it.  Some of the questions we discuss on this episode, were questions submitted by our listeners.

1. How do we embrace the process of growing older in the best way possible?

2. addressing our fears, is very important and something we want to do regularly, first, for the glory of God now, but it will also prepare us for the changes as we age. What are some other biblical principles that we need to embrace?

3. How can we display the fruit of the Spirit when it feels like our hormones are taking over?

4. My question is about being in the sandwich generation. I am married. I have adult children and young grandchildren. I also have an aging mom who is requiring more and more care.  What kind of boundaries would be good to have in place to keep these relationships in their proper priority?

An imperfect episode about not being perfect!

In this episode we discuss the difference between intentional isolation, unintentional isolation and loneliness. We are all vulnerable to this, but as Christians we have truth from God's word to help us resist the temptation to isolate, and to live within community.  We will discuss the following questions.

1. Can you explain what happens socially and mentally to someone when they remove themselves from community? 

2. Can you explain how solitude and isolation are different?  Can a Christian have too much solitude?

3. What advice would you give a woman who is struggling with depression or apathy or who doesn't see the point, to still make the effort anyway?

We have been designed for community, but it's not always natural or easy. Community is about cultivating relationships that models the gospel- it will be hard, there will be challenges, it will require humility, repentance and forgiveness. Listen as we discuss the following questions:

1. What does it mean to be in community?  Can you give some biblical examples of this?

2. Many people find a great deal of fulfillment by belonging to a community.  How is a church community different than, say, a sports community, or arts community?

3. Why is a Christian church community  important to the life of the believer?

4.  What does belonging to a meaningful Christian community look like?

5. Can you share some practical things we can actively do to ensure we are plugging ourselves into a community that will be a blessing to us as well as to others.

6. What is Church Discipline and how does it help build and protect Christian community?

7. What would you say is unique about our community at Harvest and how has it been cultivated, either intentionally or unintentionally?

8. What are some cautions that we should have about gatherings that mimic the church but perhaps don’t follow the biblical model of eldership and authority?
