Episode 55: Flourishing and Praiseworthy

Do you ever question, wither your work is appreciated, or bringing any meaningful results.  Listen in as Susie and Sandi finish their series in Proverbs 31 with verse 31, Give her the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.  They discuss the following questions:

1. How can we be women whose work results in fruit and praise, when so often we feel overwhelmed and even guilty for not doing all the things?

2. What counsel would you give women who are looking for areas to serve in the church?

3. Is there a danger of pride in serving in a more visible ministry that in the behind the scenes ministry?

4. What would you say to the women who are experiencing the day to day reality of being married to a ministry leader?

1. Can you describe what type of beauty a godly woman should strive for?

2. How can we overcome inner jealousy over the beauty of another woman?

3. When should we be cautious about becoming proud?  We want to look good for our husbands, we want to be presentable for things like church or gatherings, professional at work, but when do we know when we have crossed the line into vanity?  

4. How can we avoid BEING a dangerous type of charming woman?  How can we speak to our sisters in Christ if we see them being inappropriately flirtatious with men? 

5. How do we help our girls have a godly attitude towards work (outside the home) and staying home to raise a family if and when they get married?

Episode 53| Leaving a Legacy

Proverbs 312:28-29 states, Her children rise up and call her blessed, her husband also, and he praises her; many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all."

Susie and Sandi discuss the qualities that are important to leave a legacy, the difference between your desire to do it for God's glory or selfish ambition and how to honour your own mothers.  Be encouraged.  You don't have to be perfect to leave a legacy.

Proverbs 1:27 speaks well of the women who "looks well to the way of her household" and yet, feminism would speak well of the women who rises up in her own pursuits.  Where does your sense of identity  as a woman come from?  Is it in Christ, or in what you do?

Beauty is not a sin.  Beauty when properly stewarded, is a reflection of our Savior and Creator. The heart that is ruled by God, reflects the beauty of God.
